I was wondering if the Class Album boxset has extras like the single DVDs. Or do all the ADV thinpack sets have no extras? If so, that's pretty cheap seeing all the other companies leave that stuff intact with any kind of boxset they make. Also, does the single DVDs of Azumanga have Web Daioh and the movie? I don't recall ever hearing if those were licensed or included as extras on DVDs. I would think they'd at least include those on the thinpack sets.

No.

Most of them don't, but some of them do. I think Noir does.

Iirc, the extras include Azumanga Daioh: The Very Short Movie but not Azumanga Web Daioh.

Noir does, as do RahXephon, Rune Soldier, Full Metal Panic!, and GANTZ. The real extras that count are the booklets that come with the AzuDai singles; if you can find those DVDs cheap, they're definitely worth it.
ADV removes extras from these cheap thinpacks to encourage people to buy the single disc releases, because they depend on those initial releases to make money. If everybody waited for cheap thinpacks that were exactly the same as the initial discs, they'd make less money and people who did buy the single discs would feel ripped off. That's why other companies' boxed sets that do retain extras cost more.

If you really want the booklets and extras, you can snag most of the individual DVDs off of rightstuf in their bargain bin. I think they are going for 6-7 dollars a disc.
