Looks pretty cool. I haven't played any of the games yet, but I was going to get them soon (along with a PS2). This just makes me even more excited.

The games are a blast, and much like I thought DMC is getting an anime, it was only time....with a manga already in print this is a great series that can be really good in anime form.

I know the history of game-to-anime adaptations has been checkered, but this could be really cool. May I also suggest: Castlevania, Silent Hill

I hope they can keep the same flavor of music that the games had.

Freakin' awsome! Best anime related news I've heard in months. Just the fact that it's a new MadHouse project, I'm already on board. But that it's a Devil May Cry series..? I've been waiting for this for years!!
Yep, I think this has potential to be another great gory action fest like those from MadHouse's past, which was some of there best work. Like Ninja Scroll, one of the best anime movies ever. But even if it's not gory, I think we'll see some of the best action sceans and battles ever from this.
If they really stay true to the game that is. I hope they capture that feeling of the game that it's just ment to be so much fun to play, but as an anime, so much fun to watch. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

Finally a good news...*OMG how long has it been*
I got all DMCs on playstation 2 and bringing this into anime is really a hot news. However i hope so that they don't totally approach the story as the same in the game because even though it is great, the story lacks too much. And a twelve whole serie is never promising and i also hope that everything ins't just about fighting this and that.

Good lord! Capcom have finally woken from their slumber to do some more cool anime. DMC deserves this anime but I still believe that Biohazard is more deserving for the anime treatment. There would be no DMC with Biohazard after all.
I also feel while I'm sure the vamp action of DMC will be sweet, the story of Biohazard has the kind of depth that's required for a decent anime series. I pray that once DMC is sorted out, Capcom will get round to Biohazard, also because the RE films are giving the series a bad name. Biohazard would I feel also sell better on DVD to game and horror film fans.

Amen my friend. Personally, I think Capcom should have avoided live-action treatment for Biohazard (Resident Evil in US) from the beginning. The games are pretty good, though I've lost interest in them myself, but the characters and plots were what made the games enjoyable. The action was too slow and choppy for me.
The characters and the story never got decent treatment in the live-action movies (the first was okay but the second really lost something) but an anime series could really due it credit. Especially if they focus on one game at a time if they're going for a shorter series.
With Devil May Cry, you get the smooth and constant action with a not bad story. The real shining jewel of DMC is Dante himself. The guy takes a sword to the guts and acts like it's a paper cut. With the art style of the series already very anime-ish, especially with the third game, it's probably going to adapt well. Probably easier overall.
Just hope they're adapting the first game or the third, or doing an original adventure for Dante, because the second game was just not as much fun as the others in my opinion.
I wish more game makers in general would put out anime for their games instead of trying for live-action success. Bloodrayne would have made a great anime.

I don't see why Resident Evil HAS to be an anime. It doesn't have an anime feel at all (not to say that it couldn't be one). Live action for Resident Evil makes much more sense to me but I do think the makers of the movies should have stuck to the original story (didn't like the movies at all).
Back on topic though. I'm very excited about the anime. 12 episodes by MADHOUSE is certainly a nice credit. However I am withholding judgement until it comes out because it could easily be what the manga was (which won't be good). While I would like it to be a DMC3 tie in (I think Vergil is too popular to be left out), my bet is it will be additional material for DMC4. Personally I would just like to see Dante in a standalone adventure. So far it looks promising, but really it can swing either way.

I like how it's only going to be 12 eps. I wonder when it'll take place. I kind of hope it's after DMC3, then Dante can go into full out Devil mode.

Only question is whether they'll use seiyuus to voice it first or the English actors from the actual game. Sorta like the second Vampire Hunter D movie where they recorded and aired it in English first then made a Japanese dub later.
Honestly, Dante just wouldn't look or sound right with Japanese coming out of his mouth
