Anyone here like Nana Katase? After watching the You're Under Arrest live-action drama, I got the opening theme "Galaxy" stuck in my head.

J-pop: Hikaru Utada, and Hitomi *the one who did the 2nd Inu Yasha opening*

J-rock: Malice Mizer, Dir en Grey, Kana, and Gackt's solo stuff. Not sure if he's considered j-pop or rock.

Yea I was looking for the last note of tank as well, it seems there is no sheet music for the seatbelts, because most of their solos are improv and no sheet music is availble for them. My blues/jazz band is working on this song hehe.

wow our jazz band is playing that song too it sounds really good when they performed i was like that song sounds familiar...lol i know my teacher would let me scan them for u but he quit because someone keyed his car and egged his house so i cant Sad

go to their site, they've got a long list http://www.pillows.gr.jp/ (in their discography of course), but I think CDjapan listed their new album that is suppose to come out later this year (can't wait) and I don't remember seeing it on their site.

Anyways my favorite Jrock bands (in no particular order) are Asian Kung-Fu Generation (yeah they're new Razz but who cares), The pillows, Gackt, and (to a tiny lesser degree, maybe .0001) X-japan. Though I also like L'arc~en~ceil sometimes too.

My Favorite Jpop artist would be Maaya Sakamoto, Utada Hikaru, See-saw, Round Table, and Nami Tamaki.

People that I consider in the "other" category that I really like are Yoko Kanno, Ken Hirai, and TM Revolution.

My favorite jpop artist is definitely Arai Akino. I think she's put out consistently good stuff for years and years now. "Borderline" from Macross Plus and "Kiniro no Toki Nagarete" from Sora no Mori are two of my favorite songs ever.

As for jrock, I listen to everything from the superheavy Shadow, Lethal and Vio System Divide to the more pop/rock oriented B'z, Nanase Aikawa and DAI.

Music friggin' rules.

Well, since I don't think we can consider Move neither J-Pop nor J-Rock, I will not take them.

J-Pop- I can't just get one, but if I would need to do so, it would probably be Namie Amuro. I like her songs, even that some of them are quite strange, but usually, whenever it comes to her, I usually pay attention.

Ayumi Hamasaki and Hikaru Utada are pretty good singers (to me), but I do know how this can looks like "the typical guy who only knows them, not so much". Ah, no, I don't. Hitomi is a great singer as well, but I always try to discover more...

J-Rock- I like so much differents groups that I can never remember all of them. Anyways, go working with L'Arc-en-Ciel and...er...I told you, Anime hyper

P.S: I forgot PuffyAmiYumi on J-Pop...

I've been listening to Do As Infinity a lot the last few weeks. The song of their's I like the most is "Mahou no Kotoba: Would you marry me?" Yes, it's cheesy, but I love the sound it has, it makes me feel.. hopelessly happy for some reason.

And recently, I've heard a few tunes from m-flo, very catchy and upbeat stuff, if you like pop that is. Two of my favorites include "Astrosexy" and "The Love Bug" by BoA feat. m-flo. Very Happy

Kemuri and The Mad Capsule Markets are my favorites. They are two rock bands that aren't very popular in the anime community, but easily beat out any other Japanese act.

Hello. My favorite J-pop artist are TM revolution and Tamaki Namil. They are singing my favorite Gundam SEED songs and their dance is so cool.
Then, I like Zard and Komatsu Miho, too. They're singing Detective conan songs. They're my favorite women artist.
