I'm actually more excited about Ito [presumably] being the Animation Director. Yea, even though Bebop and Champloo have their funny moments, Watanabe has never really struck me as the full blown comedy type, so I'll keep my expectations grounded.

Keiko Nobumoto is BACK!!!!!!!!Jesus Christ this is great news I was thinking she retired already.I am bit disappointed that it is going to air in January since everyone thought that it is scheduled for fall. Also character design for main character looks awesome and monsters are fantastic too.CANT WAIT!!!

This is everyone from the original cowboy bebop team! The only person not mentioned is Yoko Kanno! That would be the cherry on top.

Guess what's coming soon on Toonami maybe next year or so?! Surprised

There's a cam rip PV floating around, and it looks quite fun in a pulpy sci-fi sort of way..

Kinda looks like a mix between Cowboy Bebop and Redline. Looking forward to it.

Gotta say, this looks like fun. A lot of it. The (pretty good) character designs remind me of Redline.

I'm very interested to see this but I thought Watanabe wasn't allowed to direct more than one show each decade Smile

After Big O ended in Japan, a decline in quality anime occurred. After Geass ended due to the cliffhanger, however, the quality of most anime went down the toilet. R2 was utter crap, bar visuals, art and mech action. There are some good modern anime like F/Z and Gundam UC, but anime like Lucky Star, SAO, Titan and moeblob garbage ruined anime.

If you think most of the shows coming out now are terrible, how is one good show going to "save" anime?

Nobumoto and Watanabe together again? With Yoshiyuki Ito on board too? Hell yeah I'm watching this.

I suppose it wont do too well with the current tendencies in anime viewing, but I hope enough people watch it to keep Watanabe in business. Anime needs a bit of variety.

Soooo good.

Especially seeing the CB writers Keiko Nobumoto and Dai Sato onboard joining Watanabe, HYPE! If Yoko Kanno is being left as a surprise lead up to airing it would be glorious!
