You could set it in Neu Tokyo on Mars, where Indiana has come to 'liberate' John Carter's grave (the Martian, not the tv astronauts). It could work too, after all they drank from the Holy Grail and should live a very long time. |
Not that Monkey Punch would have any ground to complain about Rip Offs since he himself ripped off someone elses property, without permission.
This is why Lupin had to be called Rupan when AnimEigo released it here.

My point exactly. That should give fits to the controllers of Lupin the first's IP as well.

they needed the comedy relief of Short Round to cancel out the annoyance of Kate Capshaw.

NO TIME FO' LOVE DOCTAH JONES
Anyway. Sean Connery is a fossil; a way cool fossil, but a fossil regardless. Far too old for any role in Lupin. Any major role, at least.

Byron: Yeah, but he wouldn't be a bad Arsene Lupin I.

You know Lord Byronius, I was thinking along the same lines. All the actors who would've had the flair and wit to truly be Lupin are a bit beyond the character's age. Roger Moore, The SEAN, Sir Michael Caine (just see him in the original Italian Job with Benny Hill, it's stellar)...
We really don't even have much in the way of pale facsimilies. Pierce Brosnan isn't all that bad, but a little lacking in absurdity.

What about Jim Carrey? He seems like a good fit for Lupin.
