Wonder if the fifth character might be Mike Hagar. Though with Hugo on the roster adding two new grapplers might be too much.

So what are they going to name this version? The SFIV ultra-mega-hyper edition?
I gotta admit though, Capcom going with "Arcade Edition" for the last one at least broke the mold |

Some in the youtube community suspects it will be Ashura from Ashura's wrath.
Others thing it will be Shen Long since they brought back Gouken. |

OH look Capcom re-releasing the same SF game for the millionth time. People always joke about Madden or Fifa basically being the same game each year; well Capcom goes one step further and does that literally with SF.

SF III only got 3 updates. SF IV has let, see, SF IV, Super SF IV, Super SFIV arcade, and now this.
Four updates. DOA moved on to 5. |

He's the freaking main character of Street Fighter III! How is it possible that we're going to have more than half the Street Fighter III cast and not Alex?! Ugh. |

Maybe the fifth character will be Captain Commando. I think he would make a good Street Fighter.

In the reveal they kept saying that the 5th character was "never playable in Street Fighter" before. The addition of "playable" makes me think it's some who was unplayable but somehow featured in the series prior.
It'd be funny if it was Sakura's friend who trips over herself and she played all goofball like Dan. |

Eh what? With sports is just stats updates, with SF its actual metagame changes and they're not charging $60 for just stats update either. |

Yeah, it's not just "stat updates" but also better AI, better physics, new movements, etc. Still though in addition to discs, even sports developers want the option of offering yearly DLC updates to those who already bought the discs because cheaper DLCs make it easier to sell and less cost than printing and distributing than new $60 discs. However, the sports leagues and player associations mandate releasing new discs every year since they earn more money out of that. |
