Yay for SAO being put in one of the slots that those western animated shows had(and I am so glad that won't be there. SBT character designs are UGLY).

At least Big O fans have season 2 to watch as well.

Watching Soul Eater and SAO back to back is going to be interesting.

SBT's designs are awesome. Their cartoony , lively, and fun. It's a shame there won't be more.

Better than the generic look of this .hack retread.

Well this might be the only chance some get to see the show with Aniplex releasing it.

I'll definitely be watching it, even though i've already seen it. Unless the English dub is terrible.

Eureka Seven pushed back again. Sigh. But at least, if I like SAO, I'll have 30 more minutes of anime a week Very Happy

And Big O! Man, I haven't watched that in a long time. Too late for me though and I wasn't too huge a fan so I probably won't DVR it either.

I would have preferred they keep the western shows and just get rid of at least one of the Inuyasha hour airings.

Can't wait for all the neophyte anime fans to get excited by the action and then get excrutiatingly bored from watching Marty Su McHaremStein and Mary Sue McUselessWaifu play house with spoiler[their AI daughter].

And I can't wait for all the people who have nothing better to do than to slam SAO at every single possible opportunity to be proven utterly wrong. For all that certain vocal corners of fandom proclaim it to be awful, it was still the second-biggest anime TV series of 2012, behind only Nisemonogatari. (And it's the biggest hit if you factor in the franchise's absolute dominance of the light novel sales charts.) The later volumes - the ones that would encompass the Fairy Dance arc - haven't seen an unusual drop-off in sales, either. The means that plenty of people are finding it to not suck. Whether or not they're right or the haters like you, Chagen46, are right is irrelevant; there are plenty enough people out there who like the kind of fare that it offers that it will be a hit for Toonami.

No, but Toonami will cut it for time.

Lol totally agree. I'm one of those who didn't particularly like SAO. I mean, it's not like I didn't give it a chance; I watched the entire season. Yet, it was still overly-cliche for my taste: Couple is obvious from the beginning, fate of the world relies on a prepubescent looking teenage boy, reactions and speeches are too dramatic, villain is defeated using the power of love and/or friendship, and so on.

I understand it was successful. but just because it sold doesn't mean it has very good artistic merit. I mean, Twilight sold out like crazy, but I don't see that as it being worthy of becoming a classic. This is just my opinion, of course. It's not the WORST thing out there, but there is a lot better out there that didn't become such a fanboy icon

As I've said before, I'll give anyone wanting a slice of SAO the second season in that it was a complete mistake and it failed to punch up what was an obviously weak second book, but I will say otherwise to the spoiler[Two Episodes, of the two clearly not wanting anything to do with the war effort] I mean, oh no guys, seriously two episodes? How did you ever last DBZ?
