Why change the protagonist and setting entirely? Why even call it Black Butler then?

Because placing Sebastian in a sexual situation with a 13(?) year old girl is more acceptable than with a 12 year old boy is my best guess....
I am a bit more interested in this now that I know it isn't Ciel anymore. As much as I like the boy, I would like to see Sebastian's interactions with other contract makers. |

Why change the setting and characters? Setting that's more like where they're filming it -> cheaper, probably.
And yeah, I'm already starting to like Shiori more than Ciel. |

I am guessing the changes make it easier to film, as well as a way to attract a wider audience.

No, just.....no. This is hardly an adaption, it more like they are pulling a DBZ Evolution. The actor playing Sesbation has TERRIBLE hair! What the heck did they do to it? Did he just waltz into work with bed head and they decided it was good enough? Seriously. |
