So far, the anticipation for GX Tag Team has been very high in the US and Japan. This is the first game to feature multiplayer duels and rules in a game. The promos, though only the names were announced, look promising since theyre brand new game cards, not reprints or alternate art cards.
Strike that, the promos were actually just released, so here they are:
GX Tag Force
GX02-JP001
Mystical Beast Cross Wing
Light/Beast-Warrior/4/1300/1300
When this card is in Graveyard, increase the attack strength of all monsters with [Mystical Beast] in its name by 300.
GX02-JP002
Mysterical Beast Wild Horn
Earth/Beast-Warrior/4/1700/0
When this card attacks a monster in defense mode, and the attack strength is higher than the defense strength, do battle damages to opponent equal to the differences.
GX02-JP003
Mysterical Beast Thunder Pegas
Light/Beast-Warrior/4/700/2000
This effect can be activate when opponent's monster declare attack. Remove from game this monster from your Graveyard, and the battle damages done that a monster with [Mystical Beast] in its name on your field would become 0. At this time, that monster cannot be destroy as result of battle.
About the TCG tourny, i never new Walt from Lost played Yugioh, unless Koonami is bringing him in as a guest player and theyre providing the deck.
These new Champion Packs really arent all theyre cracked up to be but the only good thing about the packs is that the new card introduced in them is Satallite Cannon. The card first appeared in the original series Noah Ark, and then appears in the second season of GX that has not airred in a OTK deck. This pack will sell well cause they are also introducing changed rarity cards. They have made a common Night Assailant into a Super Rare card. No telling what the other cards are, just three have been listed.
As for POTD, dont be amazed by it but dont be let down too much. When it hit the OCG I got 4 boxes of the series and pulled all but Chimertech Overdragon. Besides that, the roid cards and the dino cards arent bad but the Neo Spacians in the set are just horrible. Koonami hasn't understood that the fans dont care about Judai's cards, they want other character cards. Too bad the promo for this sets preview hasn't been announced yet. Concerning the next set, Cyberdark Impact, dont bother even buying the set. The cards are absolutely horrible and not worth wasting your money. Save it for the upcoming Dinosaur and Machine decks in the US.
As for the tins, still no news about other than Cyber Dragon being one of the tin cards. Its still a speculation whether theyre gonna be reprints or new cards in the 6 that will be released. The way they plan on releasing them is weird though, but its good since theyre releasing CD. Itll give UDE a chance to print out more CD tins after the first set sells out in the September release. The November release may or may not sell so well.
