I guess that's the idea, but the problem is the marketing and getting into any theaters outside of LA and NY.

Sweet!! I wonder which studio they'll use.
Will they use Bang/Zoom for the name recognition?
FUNimation or Seraphim Digital for convenience?
Or NYAV Post because they're so desperate for work they'll do it cheap?
Either way, this'll be fun!!

i was doing a bit investigating and i can't remember janurary or was feburary. watching video in youtube, Chris Ayres was talking to someone in the interview, and Chris Ayres said that {Steven Foster left to Japan to work on a PROJECT}, now i remember that sentai did dub Applessed for Shinji Aramaki, also in twitter there was photo group sentai voice actors, with steven foster,Shinji Aramaki in japan but that one was long ago. im saying that sentai has close relationship with Shinji Aramaki who director CG captain Harlock and im sure they going to be part of it. Also there english video cg captain harlock in the end of video harlock was talking and Sound exaclty like David Matranga.

Unlike 2D anime, won't there be probjects with CGI dubs? Unless they're produced exactly the same way, with the work done first to script dialouge mouth movements and the Japanese voice actors have to ADR it in. Or did they do the better route for this film and animate to what was recorded? Dubs for stuff like that must have more problems.

Seraphim/ADV has dubbed most of the Aramaki films, and as was pointed out, Stephen Foster has been working on a secret project in Japan. I'd say they are the most likely candidate at the moment.

If the company working to produce the dub is bassed in London wouldn't they find an UK studio to dub this?

^ Probably not. British dubs typically don't do as well because foreigners often have a hard time understanding British accents. You might think this is more of a problem for non-native English speakers, but I know several people who were born in the US and are native English speakers who have a difficult time watching BBC programs. They have problems understanding the accent, even though, I feel, it's not that pronounced.

Manga UK dubs of the 90s were, for the most part, poorly received for a variety of reasons, one of them being that they sounded awkward. Even though a large number of the people doing the voices were from the US or (usually) Canada, there was still traces of accents, and the rhythm seemed off. Also the recording quality was terrible and the scripts seemed to be written by sailors.
But this will most likely be dubbed by Seraphim. If not them, then Bang Zoom or NYAV seem the next likely. I'm sure dubbing will be a challenge, but it's not like our CG films aren't dubbed into dozens upon dozens of foreign languages.
I'd love to see this in theaters. Since it's CG, I wonder what the possibilities this will get a wider-than-usual release.

I love reading missinterprettable errors.

I like this look for Mimay if anyone should be a space elf in it should be her.
I find it funny they note that in this Harlock is at least 100. I really wonder sometimes if he's got some sort of long lived alien ancestor somewhere in is family tree. That or he's going to just end up being a cyborg
