Season 2, Episode 11
They were really drawing out the whole thing about Chieri hope in her father, although I really feared the whole thing was just a fools hope of him sudenly becoming a good guy. And just as we get the creepiest scene of him in aww and gasping at Chieri's "radience", he suddenly gets shot. Kind of anticlimactic for the person who was being made as the villain for the whole show to die so suddenly.
What are they going to do now?
At least the background of Chieri was nice, especially seeing the girls as little munchinks. I did not feel sorry for the bastard, but I did for Chieri.

Season 2, Episode 12
Well that was disheartening seeing the people of Akihabastar carrying torches insead of glow stick and telling AKB0048 to go away. And this was after an episode of the members trying to raise their spirits up to take Akihabastar, even with finding out that Yuuko is stuck in some kind of limbo.
But one thing finally clicked with me. When they said that the trick to getting back their home was "NO NAME", I figured out something for a while, I always wondered why the ED and OP songs were said to be done by NO NAME. But the answer has been right in front of me the whole time, it is being used to group the girls who have not yet inherited a name yet, which makes sense the name would appear in the OP, ED, and various other songs, they are who the show has focused on. Oh and that likely means that the understudies, all of which weren't in the failed attempt, will be important.
Next episode will be the last, I am eagerly awaiting it, hope it goes out in a bang.

A very radiant finale. The understudy girls manage to win over the people of Akibastar, Yuuko comes back, and they manged to get rid of the invading DES forces. Nagisa gets to become Atskuo Maeda the 14th and Chieri gets to become the new center nova. And Sensei-Sensei is a giant ball of dualium. I absolutely loved this show and im so glad Sentai picked it up. I'm giving this an Excellent

Meh, the series was a fun ride especially with the majority of the finale. Still though, I was entertained quite a bit and many of the songs in the final episode were great. Go Cheri~
I will rate this as good.

Season 2, Episode 13
A really good finale. The understudies started their singing, and though their supposed radiance was enough to cause a gap in the anger, it was not quite enough to sway them. But then Nagisa did a heart felt plea, and despite her getting a fever (we know what that means) goes on with the next song, which increases with excitement, and Yuuko comes back. By the end of the song everyone is heralding Nagisa as Atskuo Maeda the 14th, and as the stakes raise higher Chieri spares a member of DES, and likely converts them. The corresponding song includes a moment with yuuka and her crush which sounded somewhat nice with her singing while emotional, and finishes with Chieri becoming Centre Nova.
The next song is the climax with DES preparing to take out Chieri, and they choose the best song, Kibou ni Tsuite, first season's opening. I had to mouth the words to this song as it has to be the most iconic, we see some emotional highlights of characters watching the concert, from the hater to the Funghi, Chieri even pacifies an angry Des man by splitting and showing her radiance. All the emotions give them the power to remove all DES forces, we get a pretty view, and then a happy ending with Akibastar being put fixed, with Nagisa and Chieri having what must be a succession concert.
I really like AKB0048, and AKB0048 next stage (or Second Stage) was also great that I would rate it higher and thus as Excellent, I am happy to see that sequels can actually be good. Great music, great visuals, drama was surprisingly good and many of the characters were enjoyable. I do like the sound of getting this series on DVD, and even seeing more seasons if they decide to make more some time in the future. Go AKB0048!

I've generally found that good sequels usually happen when a story is originally planned to more than one part.

A really good finale.

Meh.
Cherie seemed to get over her dad's assassination pretty quickly. I wonder what she will sing if/when she ever confronts the responsible party. It's nice that Nagisa's parents were reconciled, though.
Also, maybe I watched too many episodes too close together, but I was getting really tired of the same choruses over and over again. The whole 20+ episodes across two seasons I think they had maybe 3 songs that they performed on stage.
Rated good -- not great.

I don't have a whole lot to say about the finale....but it was SO cheesy and somewhat predictable...; "LOVE AND SONGS WILL MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER!" Nagisa turning into Acchan wasn't really surprising...but ironically for such a "radiant girl", Nagisa herself is just...so...DULL. So it was hard for me to care. :/
The only thing I didn't predict was Chieri's father being assassinated like that That made me go ...but that was really the only thing.
Though there were a few other things I didn't really understand...especially with HOW Yuuko disappeared and where the hell she disappeared TO, how she was able to meet Acchan and go back to join the rest of the girls. Just...that entire thing was like....WHAT? O_o

I am so frowny face right now. I really liked Nagisa's character. She never really had a crazy personality, but she cared for her dream, her family and her friends, the three way struggle with that was probably one of the most pronounced.

Well apparently she had completed what was necessary to go to some plane of existence that the centres go to so that they try to spread hope across humanity. But since it was kind of artificial how she got there, she did not have the emotional backing that would allow her to complete the journey, instead stuck in some limbo. Perhaps it was our main cast reacting with the crystal that pulled her back from limbo, or perhaps the other centres that did it.

I'm sorry, Dusky! It's fine if you like her!
I don't dislike her...just kinda feel indifferent towards her.
Maybe I've just seen her character too much in other shows....or something. I can't seem to put my finger on why I find her a bit boring...which is odd for me!

It's probably because Chieri just outshone her the entire second season
