Seems pretty generic, but since it's Nakamura, I'll probably watch it.

*Yawn* Pass. Call me when they're giving the original Gatchaman the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 treatment. Looks like this will be nothing more than an attempt to cash in on the name.

Oh c'mon! It could be something along the lines of Saint Seiya Omega with a whole new team configuration.

Since it looks completely different from the original one, I think it's worth a shot.
I personally think all Tatsunoko's remakes/reimaginings over the years never worked except in one case (Tekkaman Blade). So trying something like this at least makes me curious of the outcome...

And your point is? (Sorry but I have no idea about Saint Seiya, so I'm assuming your reply ends with a big [/sarcasm]).

All the more reason to avoid it. It has nothing to do with the original Gatchaman which means it doesn't interest me in the least. Quite frankly I expect it to turn out to be something that's a complete insult to the original.

I never meant to have a sarcastic post. There's always a possibility they're going to have a new team line up like what Saint Seiya Omega is doing right now. Though the format and plot is unknown at the moment so who knows.

Hey that should be called Gatchawoman or Gatchagirl
Seriously if this is how they want to remake classic shows then I'll stick to them and avoid this insult. The new Yamato, Shin Mazinger were IMHO great examples of how remakes should be done.

It makes sense. Female leads are what the majority of anime fans want now.

Not sure what to expect from this; I'll at least give it a look.

I didn't like the original series that much, save a couple moments it ended up completely forgettable IMO. The following parts became even more ridicolous.
