Yeah! I bought a set top box that is an hdtv tuner as well as a dtv tuner JUST for this! If you can't view dtv channels, than tuning to channel 18 isn't going to show you anything different -- but if you watch channel 18-3... it's all funimation, 24 hours a day!!!
Awesome!!! Now get me the anime network... |

So, what you're saying is that Channel 18, has the block?
But if you get the DTV and Channel 18.3, it's funimation 24 hours a day? |

Yes, if you live in LA, and you receive channel 18, all you need is the DTV tuner, to tune to channel 18.3 or 18-3 depending on your tuner, (I bought mine off bestbuy.com, cheapest I could find - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7259245&type=product&id=1117178265456)
or just run a search for hdtv tuner) and you have all funimation, 24 hours a day! This morning, they even started playing commercials other than funimation commercials, which means... sponsership! woot! |

That link didn't work, but I found the only HDTV Tuner in the bestbuy website. It's 700 hundred bucks! Whoah. I've seen cheaper. lol |

yeah, as it turns out the one i bought was discontinued by Best Buy or something. Circuit City has a Samsung HD/DTV Tuner for around $200.
It's strange though, it seems like the Funimation has only 6 hours of programming, and then they re-air it throughout the day... then the next day, they show the next episode of series <blank>. Not as cool as I thought it'd be... but still very cool to have anime on tv 24 hours a day. Last night, I couldn't sleep at like 3 AM, turned on the tv, and BAM. |
