Not to say that I am one of those people who always want anime to stick close to the manga, but I hope this one does. The first anime adaption wasn't too great at all.

More good news for us YQ fans. I've never read the manga, but I've enjoyed all the anime-related stuff that has been produced so far. I wonder if the new TV series is a reboot or a sequel?

It is a reboot but it will have new material in order to avoid rethreading the same ground again.

I thought the first series was fun in its own way, but it will be interesting to see where they go with this one, given that there are more volumes out now.
I'm hoping that this might convince Kodansha to start printing the graphic novels again, picking up where Del Rey left off. I'd buy them in a heartbeat!

Yeeeeeeeeesssss!! I have been waiting for this for years!!!
I cannot wait to see both versions of my favorite arc, the Mariabelle and Yuuhi arc. Matsumoto Sachi does an amazing job as Yuuhi. I just hope we don't get the same crap animation that we did with the OVAs... The character designs were like... WHAT.

I agree. I felt the character designs of the OVAs were going for a "K-on" look, which I didn't care for at all. YozaQ isn't about cute girls doing stuff.

No, dearie. Sailor Moon is still coming, remember? And I think you mean 'Brotherhood'

They have explicitly said they will not continue any more Del Rey series. And because JManga died we'll never see the rest of it either.

C'mon. A guy can hope, right? Maybe? Please?
(P.S. I've actually been following scanlations, because a certain group is awesome like that, but it doesn't change the fact that I'd buy them if they were printed.)

Nice! Hoshi no Umi had amazing animation, and since this one is also directed by Ryo-timo (who is usually a key animator, and an excellent one at that), I think we'll be seeing some more great animation from animators he's worked with in the past, on Hoshi no Umi and other shows.
Too bad the story is kind of dumb.
