Thought they would have gone for the standard 24/26 episodes to fit the rest of the novels in, but I guess 16 can work. Just hold the remaining 3 episodes are released quite shortly after the tv series!

16 episodes for 7 novels, eh? Well, I guess season 1 had cut out a lot of stuff already so they'll probably do the same to get it all in here.

Edit: Beat to the first post...
But, to answer the question of "how are they going to cover the remaining 7 volumes in 16 episodes?" the stories not covered in the anime will be through drama cds. Source Volume 9 is a collection of side-stories so I can see those being covered by the drama CD. That would leave 16 episodes to cover 6 volumes which is doable at roughly the same pace season 1 took. Last edited by superdry on Sun Mar 31, 2013 10:13 pm; edited 1 time in total |

So thats something we'll never see translated then. Shame, I'd rather they do in it a later OVA or something. |

Pretty excited about this. Just what I needed to take Haganai Next's place :p Really enjoyed the first season. It's odd though. This is the first series I like where I don't have a favorite character. I like them all equally lol

I"m not surprised in the least by this tactic. Aniplex most likely will stream around 5-6 ova's in 240p to wrap up the series. Then to those that want higher quality they will have to buy the dvd/bluray singles.

legal? I'm pretty sure we will get the translation from fansubs. Alot of super popular shows' drama CDs got fan subbed. |

Really? Honestly I've never heard about fansubbed drama CD. I wonder how that works... |

I suppose one could turn it into a video slideshow and then add subtitles to that. |

Yeah, I have 3 Madoka Magica Drama CDs on my computer, translated, and that's how they were fansubbed. I don't know if the 4th one was already fansubbed, actually. There's always the option of download the raw Drama CD and read the text on Word at the same time you're listening to the Drama CD. However, there aren't too many Drama CDs translatd, sadly. It's worse than Visual Novels or Light Novels. |
