Anyways I don't put Kuroko on the same level of disappointment that SAO is but I also don't think it offers anything unique for anime as a whole. Again it won because it was a top seller.

Wolf Children however won important awards besides this one and ones the clearly don't just have to do with popularity & sales.

Neither of those awards are "important"and are just as heavily biased as this one, infact Hosada has been given the award every year he gets a new film release. You claim that those awards are more significant because you like the film itself not because they're actually fair.

Really, just because you don't think a series was all that, doesn't mean other people don't have good valid reasons for thinking that it was

Every award by its very nature is biased but that doesn't say it is not important. How do you determine if an award is an important or not. Being internationally recognized is important whether you like to believe it or not.

And no Hosoda did not win those awards every year. This is the first time he won that Oslo award.

Not really. Why do you think people have stopped taking the Oscars seriously in recent years? Awards generally hold little merit in anything nowadays.

SAO is the best series from last year. You may disagree, but your opinion is not more valid than mine.

SAO is fking popular. Deal with it.

If it was a popular series that I didn't like but I didn't think was one of the worst series to come out in awhile I also would not care.

I don't see why Kuroko no Basuke Anime should get an award just because of what its fans have had to put up with. The threats disrupted the wider franchise and various events, whereas the television series was unaffected.

No, however facts are more valid than opinions, especially yours. And the fact of the matter is that Sword Art Online was not anywhere close to being the objectively best series from 2012.

Unfortunately for you, that's not a fact, it's your opinion.
