I must be the only one who thinks they were making fun of him for nit-picking. I beleive the Simpson's said it best:

I mean are we supposed to beleive that this is some sort of magic xylophone or something ? Boy i really hope someone got fired for that blunder."

i thought the cards were made by fans, not the actual peoople at adult swim

With the exception of the fan-written cards shown on Thursdays, all of the cards are spawned from and produced by the minds of Williams Street.

I dont think he's nit picking at all. he's pointing how shows are routinely butchered, and Needlessly so. Especially on Adult Swim. Primetime network TV is more lenient and they have the FCC to contend with. CN is basic cable, they could show Hentai if they wanted to. Kyle at least is keeping them honest.

I don't see how Kyle's honesty prevents them from showing hentai. Just 'cause they're cable doesn't mean they don't have to follow the same practices. Hentai's most definitely not broadcastable.

If the Adult Swim block even tried a Hentai show such as possibly La Blue Girl, or Cool Devices, they would be banned because they are much too difficult to edit. The most they could air would be five minutes of a thirty minute episode after the edits... heck, not even that much of Cool Devices.

Have u seen the last Adult swim? They said something like:

So u guys think we're all a bunch of geeks huh? etc.....

And it goes on saying something about them having muscles.
I cant help but wonder if they are replying about this thread. And about kyle pope's edits. Heck they even boasted about having Inuyasha being uncut. I remember them saying something about Kyle pope's edit list's b4 they said his name on tv. Like they wrote a sentence or 2 from his column. Like little clues or inuendo's

I'm I reading too much into this? Or are there people who think I'm on to something here. keep your eye on those cards they show b4 shows,I wouldn't be suprised they give props to this site again or respond to this thread in their own way.

I doubt they're replying to this thread through cards. They do read the AS forums, which is probably where they are getting a lot of material from. (Most likely people were talking about the edit list and that's where they heard it from.)

Kyle's name's been big since before he wrote his first edit list.

He already had a good reputation on rec.arts.anime.misc on Usenet, when he started the edit lists. I'm fairly certain that Williams Street was familiar with his work long before we approached him to see if we could host his lists.

Of course, now that the lists are on a website, they're that much easier to link to and read.

And let's not forget that Kyle interviewed Williams Street last year.

*nods* What I meant was that the WS people weren't browsing around the ANN site and suddenly went "OMG! This guy is writing about what we edit!"
