A project I have for an animation class is giving a brief history of the media world wide, and I'm stuck on the topic of anime. So I need help on three things
•What year was anime introduced •How many years did it take to become mainstream in it's country of origin •What where the main shows/companies driving it at the time period |

*Where to start* Ok, the first full length anime ever produced was the 1963 series of Astro Boy written by Osamu Tezuka. It was produced by NBC Enterprises for the dub. However, if you want the first indications of the "anime style"/ short animated films/test animations produce in Japan, you're gonna have to do a bit of digging, as the first semblance of this style in animation can be seen as far back as the early 1900's.
Ok, I just realized how REALLY anti-climatic that post was ![]() |

You're supposed to do your own homework; try reading a book.

I hate it when people come here expecting us to do their homework for them. So rude.

Propoganda film Momotarō no Umiwashi was released in 1943. It was only 37 mins so not feature-length, but the 1945 sequel was twice as long. |
