Hey... does anyone recall the name of the AMERICAN manga artist that was Anime Expo last year? He was hired by large manga companies... the hairstyle on his art is different.... probably because of the unfamiliarity with Japanese culture...
But I need this for a research paper I'm writing.... any ideas would be nice, thanks!

Since you're doing a research paper, I would like to state that "American Manga" is known as "amerimanga." As for the artist, I don't think there are enough details to give you an accurate name.

Well, could you guys give me a few names of these artists? Any would be fine, since I just need one for an example of a hybridity of cultures. I coudl dig up the research on these artists if I can just get a few names. Thanks.

Just look on TokyoPop's website then, they publish most of the "World Manga." So take a look and see what would suit you best.
