Wait... Batou is/looks basically the same, but the Major needed a new character design? A new design which -HELLO FOREHEAD!- is NOT an improvement. What, did the "old" Major not skew young or angsty enough? What's more, NO YOKO KANNO score?! What the what, Japan! Are those charged with the anime even the original GitS: SAC crew?! GAH! It's suppose to be a prequel, so they all are going to look young. But granted Motoko does look more like Rune Balot.

Eh, all i know are two things. I'll shamelessly buy the Blu Rays once they hit our shores, just like i do every other GITS release. Every. Other. Nextly, Richard Epcar with voice Bateu, its a part he actually fights for. And, I'm ok with that. A little continuity thought the franchise is not a bad thing.
