Genshiken anime question

I just finished Genshiken and I'm sad because it's such a great series. Anyways I was wondering if anyone reads the manga? I wanna know if theres more of a story in the manga and what volume I should get to pick up. Or should I just buy the manga from vol.1

If all you want are new stories, start with vol. 4, where anime covers its first 1/3. However, I strongly recommend you to collect all volumes, both anime and manga.

spoiler[Roles of Madarame, Tanaka, Kugayama, Kohsaka, and even Kasukabe were significantly reduced after vol. 7. Ogiue, as well as her interactions with Ohno and Sasahara, are now under the limelight.] Manga vol. 8 will probably be the final installment.

Rumor has it that Genshiken 2 is in production, so it's likely you won't be sad for long.

Actually it turns out the rumored "Genshiken 2" is actually a Kujibiki Unbalance anime.

as far as i'm aware of, Genshiken season 2 is already out in japan and i heard that Genshiken season2 will not be liscened in the U.S.

he's right just google it. Genshiken 2 is that other anime. Man Genshiken is one of those gems that will never make it intothe mainstream anime market sadly. Anyways I'll buy all 5 volumes.
