I'm not surprised that they planned to animate that chapter for an OVA, considering the fanservice level in the other four. XP But I'm looking forward to it, since the chapter was filled with a lot of laughs.

Can we expect some mild nudity? |
No more than what past OVAs have shown.
In other words, if you're looking for full frontal nudity, or nipples, expect to be disappointed.

So this is like an alternate version of an anime episode, or are they cutting Chapter 298 out of the TV series completely, and this is to make up for it?

I'm not going to be disappointed, i see nudity as something extra and i certainly wouldn't mind some nudity in Fairy Tail.

Judging by the upcoming episode titles, I'm pretty sure they're cutting 298 out of the TV series completely.

Unfortunately, not bringing enough "sexy" for female fans, which caused me to drop Fairy Tail. I hung in there for a long time, though.

That's... one of the silliest reasons to drop a SHOUNEN anime I've ever heard.

The manga (and anime, btw) has changed in tone over time. It seemed to have more focused story arcs in the beginning. Lately, there has been less character growth, more cutesy fanservice, and lots of meandering story arcs that don't add much. It all seems so filler-ey.
I've noticed that when a shonen title starts to get stale, these kind of things start to appear. Just extra fat on a bloated cash-cow
In any case, you calling me "silly" for dropping this is not going to stop me from dropping it. Its not the first time I've dropped a shonen title, and it won't be the last.

Quite a lot of people. Fairy Tail has the best boobs out of all the current fighting shounen. One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, Toriko, Magi, and Naruto can't compare.
Definitely looking forward to this one. The other OVAs have been very satisfying.

Bare ass and every-inch-of-the-breast/crotch-but-the-nipple/slit. Mashima is too much of a tease to give us total nudity. He has to keep his fans wanting more so he can't go giving it all away.
