School Rumble 2 seemed to change a little in tone from the first season. While Episode 1 was pretty "normal," (School Rumble normal), it seemed kind of different after that. The humor in the latter two episodes seemed to be more of a spoiler[parody-type] rather than what it was before, all-out craziness. In Episode 3, spoiler[It was actually "serious" for about 14 whole minutes. Seems like the title School Rumble means what it literally means now...]. Now I've seen a side of School Rumble I've never seen before, and it possibly set the show up for possibly more spoiler[crazy parody/fake seriousness/other wacky setups]. Hmm, its kind of strange in Episode 3 how they spoiler[magically all came back to life after shooting each other, perhaps it was a paintball fight?]. Also, suddenly, it seems to be sticking to one long storyline/arc rather than individual scenarios. Any thoughts on this new season of School Rumble?
(Also, is the second season a direct continuation manga-wise from the first season, or did they skip through some parts of the manga?)
Well, the third episode may have had a more serious tone because we were seeing it from the perspective of spoiler[Akira's movie. All of the added blood and effects were from her edits to the film.] And yes, it's continuing from the manga.
Yeah, I dont see a different tone at all. Like One3rd said, it is because spoiler[of Akira's movie]. There has been no change in actingand ti still follows the manga.

Within its sports narrative, Give It All is a fantastically realistic depiction of how mental hang-ups stay with a person.― At first glance, this seems like a story told in a billion anime before.
