As far as I know, the Anime Network isn't doing this either. At least not to any relevent or notable capacity. For the most part it's just ADV dubs. If you're actually expecting subtitled anime to run on TV, you're kind of missing the point.

And it isn't even all anime anymore. They're airing live action programs now as well.

How is me wanting to watch subtitled or better yet dubbed uncut anime missing the point? I don't understand your reasoning here? I was actually on Anime Networks website a couple weeks ago and they were saying on their guide that they were going to play subs of Eva. I personally perfer the Eva dub, but thought it was cool.

Regardless of weither they are subs or not, it would be cool if Canada had another network that played anime. YTV is great and all but it would be nice to see some other types of anime they may not play. That was the point I was making sorry if I confused anyone.

Oh and that sucks that Anime Network is playing live action programs, are they at least playing Japense live action programs. That would be cool.

Thanks for your patience.

Again, if you want to see an alternative, I suggest taking a look at this and consider filing a comment to the CRTC supporting the ammendment. G4TechTV being allowed to launch a new anime block will probably improve things considerably, at least based on things I've heard about what they're planning.

Also, although it's all dubbed, most of the stuff that YTV plays on Bionix is uncut. The only real notable edit they've made this year was removing the spoiler[F*CK YOU] in episode 26 of GitS. But aside from that, they've left in language and other content that not even Adult Swim let slip through.

Thanks for the informaition, I am checking into to it right now. You rock!!! Laughing I had heard from some of my friends that FMA and Inyusia (spelling??) were aired cut and they were complaning about YTV airing them like this. So sorry if my information was wrong.

YTV's staff is lazy they can't fix their Bionix Page yet they can add Case Closed and miss FMA...

http://www.ytv.com/programming/bionix/

Also who told you that YTV aired Cut Anime in Bionix(Besides Naruto because thier was only an Edited version out,and it's no longer in Bionix contrary to YTV's Bionix page)?Because they where wrong,as Pepperidge posted.

One of my classmates at school, I was telling him that I started to watch these two on YTV, and he said don't bother. I asked why and he said they were the cut, dub crap. He said that after watching the first eppy off FMA on YTV, that he realised that they were massively cut. I haven't seen the subs of these two and so I believed him. So maybe he was one of those dubs suck, subs rule types. Though I do usually pefer subs, if i can see a dub that is uncut and well for free, that is awsome. So yes I retake my orginal statement, and I am so greatrful for you two for clearing that up for me.

Also I hope this isn't too off topic, but when did case closed start. If it just started in the last couple of weeks then I will proabalby check it out. Thanks again for your help.

Your friend is a lunatic; there have been no edits made to FMA whatsoever. The only changes have been to the opening (Ready Steady Go plays for the first 40 episodes) and ending (which is shortened), but those were for legal and time reasons.

Be sure not to miss FMA this week. It's one of the best episodes.

You can't get CN (legally) in Canada, at least to my knowledge. Teletoon is supposed to be our CN replacement. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

Just FYI, it's Inu Yasha. Wink

Well, we got the same version of FMA that AS got, so yeah, we're only gonna see OP2 & OP4, and the ED's are cut. As for the actual episode content, they should be uncut.

Inu Yasha, I don't know.

My horriable spelling rears it's ugly head. Sorry bout that all Inu Yasha fans. Well I have seen eppy 2 and another eppy of FMA, it was pretty cool but I haven't caught any other eppy's. Would I be too lost to catch eppy 7 friday, or should I just wait till they repeat it. Yet then the same thing that happened with hack/sighn might happen. Thanks for all the help. You guys rock.

Don't worry, just make sure you catch it this Friday.

Also, don't leave a comment on my website. Leave it with the CRTC. Smile

We actually do have a form of the Anime Network here in Canada. In the "Rogers On Demand" channels, there's one for TAN. Yes the majority of the anime are dubbed and ADV titles in case anyone was wondering.

Please...please exercise a more proper grasp of grammar and spelling on these forums. Specifically the use of punctuation. As they are, your posts are just rambling jumbles of words, and they make very little sense without the odd period or comma here and there.

aye they have changed the schedule again... i'm counting four times already since '05. They have replaced the 11pm-12pm timeslot with "Reboot" and "Beasties" instead of the usual InuYasha and either .hack//sign, GundamSeed, Witch Hunter Robin, or GitS:SAC. This news is rather a pissoff for any Canadian whos sole anime source is YTV (which mine is Crying or Very sad ) Honestly i don't know why they would change the schedule... it was fine the way it was. I thought i'd post this message just to voice an opinion on the crappy TV channels Canadians on Basic Cable have. if any others want to make an opinion go right ahead, i want to see what other people have to say.

Umm how old is this schedule of yours?

Right now i'll name the anime thats currently showing on fridays where I live (Scarborough, Ontairio):

6:00 pm: Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
6:30 pm: D.I.C.E
7:00 pm: Transformers: Cybertron
7:30 pm: One Piece
8:00 pm: Naruto
8:30 pm: Zatchbell
9:00 pm: InuYasha
9:30 pm: Gundam SEED
10:00 pm: Fullmetal Alchemist
10:30 pm: Case Closed
11:00 pm: Shadow Raiders
11:30 pm: Transformers: Beast Wars/Beasties
12:00 am: Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex

and so on since I don't bother staying up past GiTS: SAC. They took out .hack//SIGN and Reboot a while back so this is pretty old. Also even though Canadian broadcasting of anime isn't that large you have to say they've increased it alot compared to lets say 3 years ago.

Other anime still currently being aired on YTV and its associates include:

Battle B'Damon
BeyBlade
BeyBlade: V Force
Beyblade: G Revolution
Pokemon
Pokemon Chronicles
Mew Mew Power
Hamtaro
Sonic X
Shaman King
Yu-Gi-Oh!

(Sorry if I've forgotten any)

Anime shown in the past include:

Beyblade (Movie)
Tansformers: Beast Machines
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing
Monster Rancher
Digimon Adventure
Digimon 02
Digimon Tamers
Digimon (Series 4?)
Dragonball
Dragonball Z (as well as many of the movies)
Dragonball GT
Sailor Moon (as well as some of the movies)
Samurai Pizza Cats
Witch Hunter Robin
Transformers: Armada
Transformers: Energon
Transformers: Robots In Disguise
Princess Mononoke
InuYasha Movie 1: Affections Touching Across Time
InuYasha Movie 2: Castle Beyond The Looking Glass
Pokemon The First Movie: Mew Two Strikes Back
Pokemon The Movie 2000
Pokemon The 3rd Movie: Mystery Of The Unknown
Pokemon (wnd movie with Mew Two, forgot the name)

And maybe many more, can't remember them all right now.
