I was worried about how they were going to stuff the entire story of the game into one film, so it taking more than one is awesome news to my ears. They may do it right after all.
I can't wait for this, though it's hard for me to say if I'm more excited for it than I am to see the P4 anime soon. Persona 3 is my favorite of the games, but I've beaten it 100% so I know what I'm gonna see there. Persona 4 I haven't quite beaten, so even though I know how it all ends, some stuff will still be new to me.

I'm kinda sad that I will likely not ever see this. Persona 3 is one of my favorite games of all time. I had beaten the original version twice and then beat Fes twice. Because of that the English voices ARE those characters for me and I doubt this will get dubbed(I assume the chances of Aniplex bringing out here are quite high) Sentai got Persona 4 but after that that hubbub over the Blu-ray being forced to dub only who knows if they will touch the P3 movies.(if for whatever reason sentai did release the movies I would think they would try to get the cast back seeing as they did so for P4)
I'm not holding my breath. Not to mention I just don't see them being able to tell the story well in movie form. They would need at least 3 movies but should have more and I don't see them making more then 3.

I really want to to see how Atlus treats the protagonist. In the manga he was too silent so he was kind of boring.

In the manga he was amusing. That's what made him amusing, lol.
Also, the news of them doing more than one movie was stated around the time it was announced by Atlus.
Really excited about this. Can't wait to see Yukari again.

Hip-hip-hoo-bloody-ray.
How's about adapting a game/story that...I dunno, doesn't suck? I think that would be lovely.

Don't like? Don't read, simple.
I for one found the P3 story better than P4. P4's story just fell flat.
Anyway, hopefully this gets licensed, by anyone that is not Aniplex USA, please....

Sentai will likely pick it up as the have Persona 3 (but may have the same dub region lock as Persona 4). Personally, I would like to see NIS pick this up though as I feel it's right up their alley.
I love the Persona franchise, but I really don't see anime adaptations working for it given just how much material there is.

If you don't like somebody, do you just not look at them?

Aren't you supposed to be working right now, Ishaan? Siliconera's been mighty low on articles today.

Yes, a story that deals with teenage feelings of inadequacy, the hazards of maintaining valuable friendships, and, ultimately, the value in sacrificing one's self for the wellbeing of many sucks.
Also, "Twilight" is the greatest love story ever told, the new Lara Croft is an empowering portrayal of women, and the world actually ended on 12/21/2012.

I for one love P3's story and am really happy they decided to go with three films instead of one. If they shoved it all into one a lot would have been lost.
Persona 3's best trait hands down, as with Persona 4's is the cast of characters. The main reason I bought Persona 4 Arena was because it featured Mitsuru, Aikihiko, and Aigis.
And seeing as they got those original voices back, I think it's fairly likely they can get back the majority, if not the full original dub cast for the movie.

There is no way that NIS will pick this movie up because
1. NIS is not just a video game company but they are known for releasing niche anime titles and the Persona games are really popular in North America so the chances for NIS getting it is highly unlikely
2. They have stated that they will never dub their anime no matter how well it sells
If NIS license the movies and not dub it, as usual, I will be incredibly pissed!
So I think Sentai has a high chance for getting the movies but Aniplex USA, I don't know. Have you seen any of their titles in stores like Best Buy? I don't think so.
Plus, Aniplex USA is very limited on where they sell their anime.
I think we'd have to wait for another year or so for Sentai to re-release the entire series of Persona 4 on blu-ray with both audio. Until then, we'll have to wait and see what Aniplex would have to say since it's only been less than a year when it finished airing.
