What cool news! I know a lot of people were wondering when it would finally happen. The manga seems to be really well-respected so I have no doubt the anime will be very thorough and well done!

WHOO HOO!! This is great news. The manga is hilarious. My co-worker and I were imagining which seiyuu would voice each character a couple or so months ago. I'm thinking maybe Yoshino Hiroyuki for Tokiwa and Nakamura Yuuichi for Komaba. Can't really imagine who could voice Hachiken, but maybe Fukuyama Jun?
Anyway, excited!!

Hooray, a show about farmers cooking.
I sure hope Bones gets this one, too. I want to see great detail in the episode where they're putting together a pizza.

I hope we get a North American release. I have a cast list I've been itching to share.

Looking forward to checking this out, though I know very little about it.
Wish the manga would get licensed in some way. I don't do scanlations.

Don't expect something like FMA, people, but still an interesting and, most importantly, original manga/anime.

This news isn't a surprise at all, but I do hope the buzz from the anime adaptation will spur Viz on to license and release the manga sooner rather than later.

Not surprising considering how well Silver Spoons has sold, but to be honest I've read the first volume and it was kinda boring. Maybe it's because I've come from a farming background and it's all about a city slicker going to agricultural collage.

Sigh. I figured. How many spots are there left?
Itsuwaribito, ALWAYS the top on online Sunday rankings and already 18 vols (the 18th being released in January), ABSOLUTELY deserves a spot as an anime. Though a reason it might not get one is because of the use of "trickery".

I read some of the chapters of manga and it is really good slice of life manga.

I hope Bones adapts because they really need some money, their latest projects were big flops.
