I loved Tsuneo Imahori's avant grade Jazz band Tipographica in '90s.

Slightly off topic
Has the english version of Rem's song been uncovered? Or is it still somehow lost in this brave digital world of ours? |

I can't say that it has. I've had this and the 2nd donut OST's since they first came out. I've also looked at a few other Trigun cd's on CD Japan as well. I think that there was only one language version of "Sound Life~Rem" ever produce. I personally think that if there were and english version of the song produce, it still wouldn't match the calming beauty of the original. |

Just out of curiosity, how can Trigun "adopt" some of Firefly's musical sound when it was released in 1998 and Firefly in 2002? If anything, it'd be the other way around.
The First Donuts was my first anime soundtrack, and I still love it to this day. |

I honestly have no idea because, for one thing, I'm not familiar of any music by Firefly
Keep on collecting. I've been buying/collecting anime OST's (both import japanese and domestic cds, but mostly imports) as well as j-pop and j-rock cds (both import japanese and domestic cds, but, once again, mostly imports) for years. If you love music as much as I do, I think you're going to like these site recommendations (I shop from these sites on a frequent basis): http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/ http://jungle-scs.co.jp/en/index.htm They have excellent service and their inventory do not contain any bootleg cds at all. Nothing but the genuine articles. |

I think it was just a comparative statement that probably wasn't the clearest choice. (ie "Trigun adopted a musical sound similar to that of Firefly") Good to finally know that Permanent Vacation does cut off and I didn't have a bum copy. Incidentally, I thought that Permanent Vacation started in the last 5 or so seconds of "Knives". Also, I'm not sure where the Johnny Cash is channeled. All I hear is "Memphis" Blues. |

Yeah, lame comparision, but it's more western than Cowboy Bebop, less epic than Brisco County, Jr., and less dense than any Western music I could think of, so...
It's got that 1-2 beat from Personal Jesus. Beyond that...yeah, also kind of a stretch. |

I love the Trigun music. I really wanna get the OST. Don't really know about the Viewtiful Joe soundtrack though; Brighter Side is a good song, and Viewtiful World is fun to listen to.

Heh, Viewtiful World...does the CD have any CD-ROM features that lets you see the "hip" music video that you could unlock in the first game? I love that song! My friends will say, "oh, what's that, it sounds good," and I'll reply, "it's a song from Viewtiful Joe." Then, because they have something against that great game, they say, "oh, nevermind then."
Just curious: is Brighter Side the English or Japanese (and partly English) version? |
