This general election was ridiculous for the LDP. Voters kicked out so many DPJ members that the LDP already has that all important 2/3rds majority in the Lower House. DPJ was so unfavored that the recently formed Restoration Party almost came in second. Fun stuff :3
Also, for official purposes, NHK World reports that Naoki Inose has won the gubernatorial election.
Japanese deflation rates skyrocketing and the prevention of another '90s bubble, mainly. Young voters wanting change from stagnation, much like here in America... Except we're on the inflation side of things. |
