Well, in any case, the point still stands.
Stepping away from the political and historical and towards the artistic, though, I find quite a few of the character design choices to be questionable or just downright odd. Rafael Trujillo as a blue-haired fairy with huge elf ears and prominent devil horns is one that immediately comes to mind. Omar al-Bashir is also looking remarkably pale, which probably doesn't bode very well for a good fraction of the other African leaders. Platinum blonde Fidel Castro and ginger Kim Il-sung are two more that I find weird. Pol Pot lounging on a pile of skulls with a row of empty-eyed Khmer Rouge militants standing in the back is very appropriate, though. Josip Broz Tito's design is also pretty clever, especially when you realize that the kids are meant to represent the states that used to be part of Yugoslavia.
In any case, I'd love to get my hands on a copy of this book. As an individual of Filipino descent, I'm particularly interested in seeing what Ferdinand Marcos looks like as a moeblob.

Hey Errinundra, is Yevgeny Yevtushenko Ukrainian? Because Ukrainians like us love our poetry!

@KabaKabaFruit,
Wikipedia wrote: | Yevtushenko was born Yevgeny Aleksandrovich Gangnus (later he took his mother's last name, Yevtushenko) in the Irkutsk region of Siberia in a small town called Zima Junction on 18 July 1933 to a peasant family of mixed Russian, Ukrainian and Tatar heritage. |
His most famous poem is Babi Yar, which depicts the mass murder of Jews by Nazis at Babi Yar, near Kiev. Its fame was probably helped by Shostakovich setting it to music in his symphony of the same name.

Yep, pretty much. I finally had the chance to actually look at them. My gawd. When did Pol Pots look that good.
I guess you can say it's all in good fun. Fidel Castro looks good too but he's not a blonde though. Could have had something that looked like Roberta. I wonder what Rei Hiroe thinks of all this. This might be up his alley.

Some lines shouldn't be crossed, and that's why it's more disturbing than anything to me.

Well, some dude from /a/ has canned the book now, so we can all enjoy in the fun together. I'm sure torrents and DDLs alike are up.
Edit: Yeah, this book is awesome. I want a copy now. Too bad all of the African dictators aren't dark enough, but I love that Bang You did did Idi Amin as a boxer.

Just how blinkered is your world view that you think only Americans would find issue with this work? |
Well I've spent enough time online to realise this kind of odious kneejerk moral lecture, usually only comes from America. And its because Americans are uniquely told its ok and important to express what they feel, even if its over something as trivial and inconsequential as Moe Hitler and her baking.
Plus the fact people are far more concerned about Hitler, than about the far greater number of innocents who were murdered by the Communist regimes is a dead giveaway, because Americans are the ones responsible cause only Americans use that double standard nowadays.

And why can't people say it's wrong? Perhaps some people don't see trivializing these people who are responsible for countless atrocities and massive death tolls as a good thing or even slightly funny. If people see it this way that is their right, and doesn't make them "butthurt". I suggest you come up with a better means of countering their perceptions rather than just insulting, generalizing (particulary when using prejudice based on nationality), and being altogether condescending about it.
Your attempts to inject your political and nationalistic bias and rhetoric in to this to discussion is at an end. You have a pretty flawed world view if you truly think what you've mentioned here is some American-centric line of thinking; because I've got news for you, it's not, and the level of bias you're spitting at this point makes you look far more guilty than those you're wagging your finger at. Take your political and nationalistic prejudice somewhere else because it doesn't belong here. Discuss the points and leave your prejudice at the door or simply do not post.

I've yet to see any of this "all-American butthurt" that you're bleating about. Hell, if anything, I'm seeing a lot of Americans, as well as other people from nations in the greater Anglosphere, making tasteless Holocaust jokes and expressing their intent to do unsavory things to the various moefied despots whenever the subject of this book is brought up. That's a very far cry from "butthurt."

There's plenty of Japanese who think this crosses a line as well.

Most of those African dictators are delicious brown girls. The difference between someone like Idi Amin and Hitler is that Amin is never taught in school history courses. You never cover the Rwandan Genocide, you never talk about African almost at all, aside from Egypt and the Muslim conquered lands from a millennium ago, which is treated more as Eurasian history.

Ataturk being in the same pot with some genocidal brutal dictators such as Hitler and Milosevic is so humiliating. Especially considering that Ataturk is still seen as a national hero and loved by the overwhelming majority of the Turkish people.
And his hair is drawn as black but he was actually blonde...
