I enjoy openings/endings because I never know if I will like the song or not -- it is rare for me to love a song on my first hearing it. By the way, the ONA Eve no Jikan does not have an opener; I found that disappointing.

Thanks for the info. I could surmise the reason they feel longer is many are actually getting better, in my opinion. I generally don't watch OPs, but if the song's catchy, I'll let them play every so often. Can definitely distort time this way. I could swear the OP to Lucky Star lasts 24 minutes. |

I love OPs! Gives me time to get the popcorn. It's sad American shows don't have them much anymore, though I know Tivo's changing everything. When we waited a week to see a new episode of the X-Files or Buffy, that OP was a key part of the whole experience that we'd waited a week for. We spent it anticipating the good stuff to come.
