You've got that right. He's got a short fuse, and isn't willing to compromise anymore.
Shame, because he does have artistic talent. But if he doesn't want to work with others who's gonna promote him or his work... Cause I don't think his free manga service has been much of a success (relative to what he could have earned from Kodansha or Shogakukan).

I had no idea he wrote Umizaru.
I thought he was just a bitter manga artist who was mad he didn't get enough of the cut for his manga, but the Umizaru movies are a BIG deal in Japan.
He must have simply made enough money that he doesn't give a f*ck who he pisses off in the industry any more.
It's ironic that he disavowed his rights to "Say hello..." and has revoked his permission to "Umizaru."
I think he might be crazy...

^Not crazy. The TV station used his property without permission and prob didn't give him a big of a cut of the profits as he should have gotten if he saw some money at all.
