Just wondering because I have it and didn't watch it yet. Just wondering if there is any sex scenes or cussing

Also how graphic is the violence from 1 being no viloence to 10 being lots of violence? Thanks

Shiki has some pretty intense scenes and gore. I would not recommend it for family viewing - unless it's the Manson Family.

I haven't watched the dub version so I don't know. I can't recall much swearing in the subtitles. Yes, there are some scenes that are more graphic than the average horror film. But the main thing is that there are situations that are potentially upsetting for younger viewers. It's not family viewing. If there is something about your family that doesn't make a general observation like that valid, then I'm not sure why you are asking this question since none of us knows what would be considered acceptable to your family.

There's an infamous scene where a person gets dissected - while they're still alive.

Here's a thought. If you have it then watch it first before showing it to the family. Problem solved.

But back in June you wrote:

Here is horror anime I recommend to everyone that likes a good thrill....Shiki, Blassreiter, Berserk, Perfect Blue, Ghost Hound, Ghost Hunt, and When They Cry....

Why did you recommend it if you hadn't watched it?

It's difficult for me to really compare an Animated Show to a Live Action Show since violence, blood and such doesn't seem as big of a deal in Anime as it does in Live Action.

Shiki starts off pretty mild and grows to maybe a little under... The Walking Dead levels...

If you're comparing it to one of those Rob Zombie movies then it's My Little Ponies. Laughing

Edit; Maybe this person is a little touched and keeps forgetting that they've post about the show over and over again. hehe

I actually think that watching Perfect Blue with the littlies for Halloween is a much better idea. I mean, why not?

This again? No Shiki is not family friendly (most notably the second half with the s*** really hitting the fan) which you could have found out simply by looking at the box. It's rated TV-MA. I don't know where you are but here that equels adults only.

Why are we being broken records for you again? You asked this twice now in the past and you were answered both times.

Stop it.

Yes, consider this answered at this point as you have asked this same question already in the past. Repeating the same thread over and over pretty much just constitutes as spam.
