Fascinating. It'll be interesting to see which studio they hire to provide the English dub.

Hopefully they don't follow the Cardfight Vanguard example and use Blue Water Studios. They may be cheap, but you get what you pay for. Mad

Didn't the original series use Blue Water? Albeit, I never did see much of Fire Spirits (AKA Season 2) so I can't say much on that portion. I do recall thoroughly enjoying the original when it aired on YTV's Vortex block though.

As long as they don't license it to Nelvana, I think we'll be fine.

Yeah, but Vanguard is uncut.

So long as it's not butchered, it's fine whoever dubs it.

The first series was dubbed in LA.

The Fire Spirits series was dubbed in Miami.

& This series will probably use Blue Water Studios (Or as I like to call them the "Blue Water Bastards") I have a gut feeling about it.

Have no interest in such a show like this, but I hope Blue Water Studios are not contracted for this dub, because no one deserves to get a 'Blue Water' dubbed version of, well anything. I still can't forgive them for what they did to G Gundam! That is the worst English dub of anything. And people say their Zeta Gundam dub is a trainwreck.

Oh, you think the G Gundam dub is bad? You should try listening to the dub Blue Water did for Angel Links.

It makes G Gundam sound like Cowboy Bebop. Mad

Are you implying G Gundam's dub wasn't ham-filled?
Are you implying that it wasn't awesome because of it?

Also;
May I mention Pretty Cure's dub? Because that was a pretty great dub. From what I've heard, the VAs actually sat down and watched the show in Japanese with the intention of keeping as close to the original as possible.

Zeta's dub was a train wreck because they didn't get the VAs for characters who had voice actors in 0079 back for it.

Honestly, yes. Yes, I am implying that.

Even though it's intentionally "hammy", it doesn't work because it JUST SOUNDS BAD.

It is possible to be hammy and still sound good as an actor. Just listen to Chris Sabat as Armstrong, or pretty much anyone played by Michael McConnohie. The actors in the G Gundam dub, though? Just BAD.

And let's not forget that anyone in that dub who's not hamming it up sounds wooden and forced. Rain's actress sounds like she's bored 99% of the time.

And for God's sakes, you don't pronounce the "W" in the word "sword". That's 1st grade English, man. Rolling Eyes

Nice to see i'm not the only one who liked that dub.

Their dubs of the Megaman X8, X Command Mission, Maverick Hunter X games & The Day Of Σ OVA will always be my favorite Blue Water dubs of all time because they actually made all of the characters tolerable and in Axl's case, a bit more likable unlike the godawful dubbing for X7, X4 & especially 8.

I have heard that the Blue Water dubs of the Mega Man games were easily the best dubs the series ever got.

Then again, when your competition is THIS, it's not hard to improve. Laughing

In my experience, the only show I can remember watching that had a "decent' BW dub is Gregory Horror Show. Also, from the episode that I watched, the dub for Viper's Creed is...... acceptable. Not GOOD, but I've heard worse. Confused

Okay.

I can't stand Sabat as Armstrong yet I loved G Gundam's dub. Opinions and all, I guess.
