Some people get off to hentai. I get off to Hokuto No Ken. Please buy the movies, DLW, and I'll never make fun of your live-action Evangelion movie again.

This looks really good. Makes me want to pull out my copy of the Streamline 'Fist' and watch it. I love the music, too; hopefully it's from the movie.

This is awesome. I loved the original brought to the U.S. by Manga. I hope this revived version kicks royal ass just as much as the original did! *preforms the 100 Cracked Fist of the North Star on the next poster*

*Before anything, dodges that weak attempt at an attack*
Yes, finally, more of what I need to live!
My Super Premium Box was getting lonely with just the Shin Hokuto no Ken and the Movie sitting next to it. More for my collection.

For the record, I really liked the NEW FIST OF THE NORTH STAR OAVs... but hey, maybe I'm just a n00b
ANYWAY, the trailer looked AWESOME, animation-wise, can't really tell yet, but it seems to be at least better than the OAV *whose animation I actually didn't like to be honest... the characters and story is what sold me on the thing*
So yes, I hope we get this too... it'd be easy to market anyway because of the violence *supposedly... but maybe I'm assuming things*
Anyone gotta synopsis?
I can only make out that dude carrying what appears to be the top of a pyramid >_>

I, for one, am looking forward *trying to supress girlish squeals of joy* to new Fist of The North Star (Hokuto no Ken)...
I'm loving the fact that anime studios seem to be remaking/continuing older anime classics such as Gaiking, The Guyver, Hokuto no Ken... etc...
Here's hoping a for an inevitable Mazinger Z remake!

Despite the rediculous-ness of the series/movie, this is hands down one of my favorites. I was actually at BAAF in 2003 when Ren Usami premiered it in America. I was one of the only people who knew HNK in the room ^^ I was going nuts. The only negative aspect of the new one(s) is that they aren't using Kamiya Akira or Utsumi Kenji . I loved those guy's in their respective roles, they MADE the characters, and I just don't get Hara's idea of "using new actors for new animation" and using the new guy just because Hara knew him.

dabura: What you're referring to's an OVA series. This is a new movie. Usami-san got slightly offended when I asked if any of the Fatal Fury animators worked on the former.

As someone who's been intrigued by art I've seen for the OVAs and this trailer, I'd like to have a look at the original HNK, but as far as I know it's not licenced... anyone have recommendations as to wher eI could get it?

Manga's had the first 36 eps of the tv series for a while, and you can hopefully find the Raijin graphic novels in bargain bins.

Has anyone picked up the new Jan. issue of Newtype USA? There's a short article in the magazine which reveals that we're not just getting one film. We're getting three films and two ovas. I'm sorry, if this is "Old" news. If it's not, I could type in the whole article for you guys.

Yeah, it's old, but still kinda relevant.
