I've been saying for YEARS that the way in which all the main character end up lost in space that they would all be brought back to meet together in some 30th anniversary celebration.

And it would be just my luck that it will be in a damned video game that will NEVER be localized. Son... of... a....

Assuming that's actually what they're doing here; I'm pretty sure Namco Bandai's given us pretty much NO information on what this game actually is.

You say that like there's any "Macross" project that will get localized. Anime cry

EDIT: Okay, legally localized.

Lack of localization is expected, but that has yet to stop me from getting a Macross game.

Agreed. As long as it's a region-friendly PS3 game, those who want it will be good to go.

Localization? Oh right, some of you aren't fluent in Japanese...tehehe

Why the heck is Nora and Ivanov walking with Shin? I don't remember a scene when they actually met.

I swear everyone is so quick to act like Macross has never been Localized because of Robotech, they actually have no clue how much has actually come stateside or been legally translated:

http://www.hulu.com/search?q=macross

http://www.amazon.com/Macross-Frontier-TV-Songstress-subtitles/dp/B007W8JUFE/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1348832824&sr=8-12&keywords=macross

Macross Zero is the only one without a legal english version as far as I know, or I'm too lazy to check.

Also I've imported every Macross game and had a printed out text translation with me. Doesn't mean I wouldn't rather have an officially translated one. Christ.

"I forgot not everyone speaks Japanese." You are seriously trying to make me vomit first thing in the morning.

Pretty sure that Macross Frontier is either a bootleg or some kind of Southeast Asian release, which might as well be the same thing. Japanese DVD did not have English on them. Along with Macross Zero, all of Macross 7 has never been localized officially, and DYRL has only been released in really messed up manners under the title "Clash of the Bionoids" or some other weird dub that was used a learning tool on VHS.

Yes, another game I'd buy in a heartbeat but never will. Not like I could import it either.

Someday I'm going Japan with boat load of money buy out all those jerks at Bandai. They have great instinct in limiting their profits and killing outside profits.

Macross could be brough here if they had bought out Harmony Gold. Their only holding on the Robotech licence because its their hobby. Realstate is their actual business now.

Currently the only Macross property (anime wise) that has been legally localized in the US:

Macross (ADV, subtitles only)
Macross Plus (Manga)
Macross Plus Movie (Manga, subtitle only)
Macross II OAV (US Renditions)
Macross II the Movie (Manga)

Macross: Love, Do you remember was never localized in the US. There was a version called "Clash of the bionoids" that was dubbed either in the UK or Australia(can't remember)....my ears still bleeds from it til this day....

Everything else I do not believe received a domestic release due to licensing issues.

Also, I don't think Macross II will ever be included in any of the main Macross franchise because a) it's actually from an alternate timeline and b) Kawamori himself hated the project (was not his idea to make it) and denies it's existence.

You do realize that is most likely a HK release?
Which if you really want to get technical, is in a legal gray area.

And the subs tend to be....bad, for the most part. This is coming as someone who's seen most of the Brave shows as HKs. Just a little heads-up.

Triangle Frontier and Ultimate Frontier would beg to differ.

That's actually a chinese/HK bootleg. I've been seeing a rise in bootleg HK DVD boxsets on Amazon lately....most of those english subs are taken from fansubs.

Oh yeah, I forgot about those games.....but I still stand by that Kawamori really doesn't care too much for Macross II......
