"An anime of Chama's Aiura four-panel manga is in the works. The story centers around Amaya, Iwasawa, and Uehara — three annoying, spirited high school girls with zero motivation — and their classmates. Their daily life is "what happens when there is nothing happening.""

This can't be the official synopsis, right?

Their daily life is "what happens when there is nothing happening."

Wow, there isn't a single original thought in there.

Sounds like some sort of slice of life story with comedy and drama.

I don't care if its cliche. As long as the cliches are done right, I'll enjoy it. I need a new K-On and Acchi Kocchi!

When I hear summaries like these, I kinda want to see the characters pretending to be Vandelay Industries and irritating the Soup Nazi.

So, what's up with Ilya in the corner there? Her show coming up soon?

Its a magazine scan, so I just assume its some info on Prism/Ilya. But yeah, her show is airing in the Winter by Silver Link.

K-ON itself is part of the bandwagon, it's just a high-water mark now for its quality and fan fervor. Hyakko, Manabi Straight, Lucky Star, Hidamari Sketch, and several others were already out and done before K-ON was committed to TV, not to mention Azumanga Daioh and any other precursors. If you want to say "it looks like K-ON", so did Kannagi, which also came out before.

lol Ah, sadly, that's what I thought too. Well, after the obligatory "It's a show about nothing!" Seinfeld reference.

On the one hand, The Daily Lives of High School Boys had a mind-numbingly cliche premise and still managed to be one of the best comedies of the year. On the other hand, this could easily be as you said: another utterly forgettable, paint-by-numbers K-On! copycat with little to no real charm of its own.

Obviously, I'm hoping for the former. Only time will tell, I suppose...

Taking the concept of "a show about nothing" to new heights! Laughing

Reminds us of those "stoner" movies!

Wow, even Ryan, the self-proclaimed fan of moe SOL, thinks this show is generic.

That's how you know this show is generic.
