It went from 7.7% the week prior to 8.8% this week.

Kind of odd to say it's dropping. I suppose it's oscillating between 7 and 10 or so, but that's pretty common.

One Piece reruns closer to Toriko than the latter is to One Piece premieres. Laughing

It dropped compared to where it was when it aired back to back with Dragon Ball Kai but that's not really a surprise since Toriko doesn't bring in as much people in front of their tv (thus naturally affecting One Piece's ratings). I'd have to look at the demographic breakdown back then once again but when Dragon Ball Kai aired it increased the amount of 'older viewers' watching One Piece because some of these people who tuned in for Dragon Ball Kai would stay and watch One Piece afterwards.

Naturally, when Dragon Ball Kai ended, these people left, which explains the decrease in One Piece's ratings. However, it is basically back at the same level as it was before Dragon Ball Kai (perhaps slightly higher maybe).

For its time slot, Toriko is honestly doing average at best...All the shows that aired in that time slot before it had better ratings (DB Kai of course but also ge ge no kitaro)...With the summer season ending it should be getting 7s or even close to 8s, not getting beaten by Suite Precure which airs half an hour before it (on another channel).

エリアノキシ 2.0
セイントセイヤ 2.6
バトスピ 3.1
ゴーバス 5.2
ウィザード 7.8
スマイルプリ 6.8]

It was the Doraemon 100th anniversary special airing last friday if I'm not mistaken. No wonder it did so well.

Stupid Toei. Well at least I'm glad to know that DB Kai's still influential in some way.

Anyway I'm kinda surprised at HxH. I dropped watching it sometime ago. So was wondering for the sudden spike of ratings. Is it because they're into the Geneiryodan arc/Kurapika arc already? Or it's just that there were other shows that didn't air that time/period to cause those ratings?

I'm not sure which arc you mean, but about 5 episode ago they started the Yorknew City arc.

Hunter x Hunter has always got around these numbers.
