The biggest problem with this dormcat, it's that for some time being a 20+ male Pretty Cure fan in Japan is going to be bad for your own reputation. Since the Japanese don't have a high rate of criminality, whenever there is a high profile crime like this one, they tend to overreact and generalize a lot. I just hope it doesn't come as a new bash against Otaku in Japan or casual fans of Pretty Cure. I might add that what we understand as Otaku and what the Japanese understand as Otaku are two really different terms.

Sadly, this would never work. The article wasn't written to hurt the show in anyway, just saying this person's interest. It's like is McDonalds sued because a murderer likes eating there. |
