This is anime. This is manga. To paraphrase, an anime is motion-picture animation. A manga is a comic book. Both originate in Japan. Inuyasha is both, actually, since it was originally a comic and was adapted into an animated TV series.

LOL that's really off. Maybe you should read the explanation in the link posted by Cloe.

To deal with this part of the question...Inuyasha is both. The manga came first, the anime is based of it (like is the case with much, if not most, anime)

The nut in there must really small
Manga = Books (Graphic Novel, Hard back) and Paper (Newpaper, Comic, Magazine)
Anime = TV, Movie, Video (OVA/OAV/what ever you like to call it), Internet (OWA/OIA/what have you)

If the pretty pictures move, it's an anime. It you have stare at long enough to get to move, then it's a manga.

The links that Cloe pointed that are in the Lexicon work just as good.

If you were trying to prove me wrong there, I missed your point. Last time I checked, all those things were made of paper.

P.S. I was sort of being sarcastic with my sumation(sp?)
