I saw the Pastel banner on the site and it seems like a nice relationship story. My only real experience with stories with that sort of focus is Boys Be and that got kind of old. I checked the encyclopedia and the user ratings are good but according to the encyclopedia it's 11 volumes (I didn't notice if that was a final count or if it's still going). Personally to me that seems too long (i.e. the story not really going anywhere). So is it worth checking out? Do things develop well or slowly? I'm not a big fan of long running manga especially when it comes to stories like these. I'm still interested in the title though, thanks for the feedback.

I don't know anything about Pastel, but I just wanted to say that 11 volumes really isn't that long, probably falling closer to average length, at least of the series that are brought over.
There are a fair number of shorter series out there, but there are also a LOT that are longer, some by quite a bit.

i read a little bit of the scanlations and amongst all the different manga in that genre this one is simply average. if truly interested just read it in the store but there is definitely a manga more worthy of your money out there than this.

It looks good not great but good as the above fellow mentioned "average" I'm putting it on my to read list. Boys be is an excellent series and runs for 22 volumes. I have all the volumes so far (7) its my priority and dead end which is a four volume horror series

I agree that it isnt all that special.
There's some good fanservice in it, but overall its quite lacking.
The characters are all too similar too, especially their designs.

To be brutally honest, it looks like a "worth a download, but not a purchase" series to me. Yes, I admit it, though I will buy some manga that I've downloaded, like Aishiteru ze Baby when it comes out.
Is it just me, or are there a lot of "living together" manga stories where a couple lives together in a faux sibling relationship? I know Marmalade Boy is like that, and one of the stories in Seraphim Call is about a young manga writer who pens such a story. Maybe it's that shounen/otaku love for the "little sister" characters :roll" Maybe this overabundance is what made me think that Pastel wasn't anything particularly innovative.
And especially if it's more than 10 volumes. . .most average-quality, non-epic stories can be finished in 5-8 volumes, like Ai ga tomaranai, Alice 19th, Doubt, and Imadoki. That's just my opinion, but those shorter ones are the ones I'm willing to buy.

With these kind of stories I draw the line at 15-20 volumes... anything more than that you just know its gonna drag like hell.
