I was left hanging with episode 25 cliff hanger of the series as to what happens next I hope the movie ties up and the end to this exciting series.

From the posters released, it looks to be an original story.
So if you want to call that filler, then yes, it is. |

Well, clicking on "Introduction" on the movie website turns up a synopsis that goes (roughly) like this:
True Cross Academy is bustling with excitement as it prepares for a festival that comes only once every 11 years. The exorcists are busy replacing old barriers to keep demons out. Meanwhile, Rin Okumura has been assigned to the exorcism of a "Phantom Train," where he meets a young demon who looks like a little boy. So...Original story that's (very) loosely based on one of the bonus chapters from Volume 6? There's also a storyboard in the "Gallery" that appears to contain dialogue from that chapter. And it's kind of hard to tell from the pictures they have up so far, but it doesn't look like spoiler[Yukio has fangs and pointy ears,] so I would guess that it does not take place after the anime ending. But again, hard to tell. |
