Macross F needs no sequels. Well, maybe "after story" like SDF.

Anyway, I'd rather have a new Macross series.

A 30th year anniversary is nice.

I hope it doesn't, or at best some wacky side adventure OVAs like Macross 7 got. But it already had two film re-imaginings, and that's enough. Macross in my mind should always be about moving forward and not focusing too long or too hard on set of characters at one place in time. There's tons of emigration fleets spreading through the galaxy, and I'm sure there's more magical music BS and ancient race villains Kawamori can invent on the spot.

What I've liked about Macross is that it doesn't try to be a constant component in anime like Gundam does. I don't think we've taken a break from new Gundam installments in...forever. SEED went into Destiny, IGLOO started coming out, 00 aired, 00's movie premiered, Unicorn started, and then AGE premiered. Where the little gaps in years between major productions might be, compilation specials or ONAs like Stargazer came out. It never stops.
