I've never actually seen Macross 7, but I'm a fan of other Macross shows, so I figure I'll pick these up and make the BD version my first watch.

Sweet, now we can get Fire Bomber in HD. M7 wasn't really the best looking or well-animated show of that era, and the rampant use of stock footage only increasing that feeling. Glad to see the OVAs and other materials are included, I want to see that guitar battle in 1080p.

I guess they're trying to get most of Macross on BD for the 30th anniversary, but II and Plus are still missing.

I, however, can do without "What if Minmei was played by U2's Bono"?

As for Blu-ray, "Do You Remember Love?" for North America, or no deal.

Lest anyone get their hopes up, let's be clear that this a Japanese release, not a Western market release.

Oh, it WILL come. It just probably wont be until next year at the earliest. Remember, there was a fair wait between the Zero boxset and the tv one. (That also gives us an idea of what pricing for Plus will probably be like - Zero was 4 eps on 2 BDs at 21000yen or 15000 with preorder Amazon discount).

Sorry for not specifying that this is a JPN release - I figured that that was a given for all Macross related stuff by now ^^;

Have been trying to get news out on this boxset since ANN apparently hasn't picked up on it yet. Just got reprimanded by the animesuki forum mods for posting links that promote 'my' website (wha?). lasy time Ill try spreading news not otherwise available in English in that little fanboy fiefdom...sheesh.
