Look really neat, and I'm definitely excited with what games they can do with the nintendo pad thingy, but....with such a large spaced out controller...how can you play real fighting games in them?

Like I don't mean Mortal Kombat or MvC where you can do all sorts of stuff just mashing directions and buttons, I mean Street Fighter or some of those new combo-heavy fighters where precise movements and timing is required.

Also, it's gonna cost as much as a PS3 during it's release isn't it? Sad

I now declare my bank account and all of its contents the property of Nintendo.

Looks like more gimmicks from Ninty but we knew that already.

Will the GamePad be any good for 2D fighters, or would I have to buy a 3rd party pad/stick as usual? The optional GamePad Pro misses the point of being for 2D gameplay by not having six face buttons, true Ninty traditionally don't but its still what most people prefer for their 2D fighters (and the pad design can incorporate shoulder buttons as well).

lets see how the games are developed so far.. i might pick this up if the gamepad pro is integrated in most game use so I don't have to use a tablet on the damn thing. Nintendo is the only one so far that doesn't have any restrictions on backwards compatibly, pre-owned games or drm only games.

The Pro Controller (which looks more than a little like an Xbox controller) gives me some hope that Nintendo is going to focus a little more on core gamers than they did with the Wii. Nice to know the Pro isn't just a controller made to emulate, but actually made with serious game play in mind. Guess we'll find out Tuesday just what type of games we can expect.

I watched the Nintendo Direct and, for what I understood, the Pro Controller more than being for people who prefer to use traditional controls is for portings from other consoles (since those games won't likely have controls adapted for the Wii u, most of the times).

Could someone double-check this?

Anyway, Nintendo is one of the few company to put some creative thinkings into what they make, I can't wait for the their E3 Conference and other events. Smile

You heard right, though I also get the troubling feeling that this means a lot of companies are going to use this as an excuse to NOT have to actually think of something for the Wii Pad. Kinda makes them come off as lazy.

Can't wait for their full presentation on Tuesday. Wii U looks like it'll be a pretty fun little system!

Lol, thanks.

And yeah, i've been a big Nintendo fanboy sine I was just a wee lad about of about 5-6 I wanna say. Also feel kind of bad that some of the more modern gamers like to give em guff cause they aren't making games for the "Hardcore" or "Real Gamer" audience. Personally though I find that all to be bunch of BS. IMO Nintendo is one of the few real game companies left, because they still realize that above all else, video games should be about F.U.N. FUN!!!! Laughing Very Happy Cool

I for one say VIVA NINTENDO!!!

And yet who ever wrote this article failed to mention that Miiverse will also be available on the Nintendo 3DS, PC's, and internet enabled mobile devices.

Finally! Somebody gets what I've been saying for years! Who ever said that you need good graphics to have a good game? No offense to Nintendo, but I'll still take the Super Nintendo over the Wii any day. Ha ha.
What I think irks me a bit though is that just because a system or game is from Nintendo, some people just dismiss it and say it's "not a real video game /system". Funny though. MicroSoft and Sony's systems are designed as an "all-in-one entertainment package", yet Nintendo still focuses on the games....makes a person think for a second, no?

Okay, Soundmonkey, here's the plan-you and me, we're gonna be co-presidents of Nintendo soon, got it? Anime hyper <is far too hyped up for E3.

I don't get why he had to go and place the thing 10 feet away from him when he did the video chat.

Boy, with two screens, a Pokemon RPG for a console could be awesome. Another Pokemon Stadium would potentially be pretty sweet as well. *hint hint wink wink*

Anyways, as per usual, I'll wait until the first Pokemon or Zelda game comes out before I get this, most likely after a price drop.
