Now I know the theres thread I made earlier talking about AMVs but that's on the legal issues and moral discussion. This is to actually talk about the AMVs. I just asked tempest if it was alright to link to sites that allow you to download AMVs and he said it was okay.
So I wanted to know do any of you guys use this site to post your AMVs up. www.animemusicvideos.org . I do so if you want to see my videos you can find my videos by typing remember love in one of the search boxes (I believe it's called members). Warning though they all have spoilers on them. Also, I have a crappy computer basically so music sound and some video quality are crap but if you can get past it. Watch my AMVs and tell me what you think of them.my personal favorite is Touched and is the one I recommend because of the filters used though it's basic filters but sets the mood for the story Cowboy Bebop (T.V.). And if you all have AMVs feel free to talk about them and tell us how to link to go and download them. I feel this could be for a good discussion. Because I'd love to tell you my own opinions about them. If you have alot of AMVs try not to list them all I don't want it to get overly crowded in here. But anyways lets hear about them. Also, make sure you don't list actually talk about the AMV if you could...thank you. |

i have an amv called sad goodbye and it is for elfen lied but it has alot of spoilers in it cause it from the last 3 eps of the series

There's a great AMV of Chobits to "The Internet is for Porn" from the hit musical Avenue Q on www.heavy.com [also watch the Tourette's Cowboy for some more laughs.]

Well...I'm sure you guys will be able to find amvs that you like up on the link I provided in the first post... If you have trouble with signing in or finding amvs you like... you can email me or pm or instant messange me whichever and I'll try and help you out. And if it turns out I can't help you I believe that animemusicvideos.org has a forum so you can probably ask technical or regular questions there.

Hey guys...I'm stuck on an AMV. I want to create an AMV using full metal alchemist but I'm unsure of what band or song to use.So I was hoping people here would be able to help me out. Any suggestions could help except for rap (sorry, but I can't stand the sound of rap just annoys me).

I used a portion of Stephen Lynch's "Special Ed" in one of mine. So far, I've seen many people use soft melodies or pop songs to illustrate the serious mood in the series. That's basically how FMA videos have been so far: either humorous or serious. What it all comes down to is what kind of video you want to make.
If you want to go with serious (and don't mind the lyrics being a different language), I suggest something by Megaherz, with heavy metal mixed with a soft theme. For humorous...well, that one's a toughy, cause you have to be somewhat smart with humor. Just keep this in mind: Tragedy plays off of emotions; Leonardo Dicaprio grew up a child star. Probably going to portray a sad mood like sympothay for the Elrich boys. While it also needs some action involved so the tune has have a sofftness to it but it also needs some sounds in it that aren't just sadnes in it. For example the song I used for the vampire hunter D...mr.brightside by the killers...That's the kind of sound I would of like to use. |

There's one FMA video that uses the song "Kryptonite" by 3DD to great effect. . .this is sort of shameless promotion, as it's a video that won "Best Video" at the convention that I helped put on, though not a video that I personally made. So don't steal that idea; you'll be sorry

That's probably the only song I actually like by 3 doors down. The rest are just boring to my ears. As far as stealing the idea....well I'm not going to do it but for one thing what could you do if I did?? Can't really take legal actions since AMVs are in a since illegal themselves...so...lol. But don't worry I never stole anything in my life except for an eraser when I was in 4th or 5th grade. And I can come up with my own video I just need suggestions. I was thinking of entering in a convention one year but I need a better computer one day and a better program I use to use pinnacle studios but I hate so I'm back to using the movie maker xp comes with and I need something to help sound quality and video quality but it'll be awhile anyways so I don't have to worry. But I still would like suggestion on the music.

You could try "dead boys poem" by nightwish, it has kind of a tragic tune too it and at points it gets pretty intense, especialy towards the end, it has a kind of oprea-ish voice and some good guitar and drums. The only thing that would be bad about it is that it is a bit long (6:45ish) although you could edit out some parts of the song which feature a little boy reading a suicide note (i think). Listen to the song and tell me your thoughts on it  .
