I wonder what the ratio of men-to-women buying these K-On! panties will be?
Probably men collecting more than wearing (not that there won't be some men who do both) and vice-versa for the ladies.

I look forward to otaku couples wearing them and taking a picture of themselves (with faces covered/fogged).

If I were a richer man, I'd buy sets of the men's stuff and give them to my guy friends (preferably in a public gift setting).

Oh come on people, it is a simple merchandise tie in to a popular show. Happens all the time. You should see some of the wierdness in the merchandise section of Diamond's Previews. I will say the Japanese do seem to be more inventive and aggressive about it.
Who buys the stuff and what they do with it is not the problem of the people who make it.
This stuff is interesting and cute, but it is not the end of civilization as we know it.

Huh. I was expecting Mio's shimapan. Anyway, you can barely tell those are K-ON panties. I assume the only thing there is K-ON written on the waist band.

Oh my, this is quite interesting. Maybe I should tweet this to Brian Ashcraft of Kotaku for him to write up.
