That's very sad to hear...I hope she is able to recover.

Although, in regards to the article.
It should be written as "Yuko Goto reveals aliment as AN autoimmune disease." The way it's written now is like writing, "I'm sick with cough."

Autoimmune diseases take many forms - her list of symptoms are so vague that I can't determine what she has...sounds like some kind of myocarditis (bad news), or hemolytic anemia (treatable), or lupus (treatable).

Hang in there, girl...

Wow, it sure doesn't sound good. I really hope for a fast and complete recovery. <3

On a side note, I'm still wondering what the produciton comittee for Hidamari Sketch season 4 will decide to do here, since I highly doubt they already finished recording by now. Given the popularity of her character in the show, and the fact that any 4th season is mostly produced for hardcore fans.... I just can't picture them replacing her for the role, unless she's retiring. Now I'm kind of hoping they decide to delay the actual broadcast of the show, and wait for her to recover, if that's even an option...

"A substantial minority of the population suffers from these diseases, which are often chronic, debilitating, and life-threatening. There are more than eighty illnesses caused by autoimmunity.[85] It has been estimated that autoimmune diseases are among the ten leading causes of death among women in all age groups up to 65 years.[86]"

Ugh. Hopefully she's okay.

I really hope she gets well soon. She is one of my favorites and I'm looking forward to the next season of Hidamari and it just wouldn't be the same without her.

Best wishes to her and I hope she has a smooth and speedy recovery.

As a person that suffers from an autoimmune disorder myself, I can understand to a point what she's going through. I hope hers, however, is one that is easier to receive treatment.

She mentioned that she had suffered this unnamed AI disorder back in middle school, as well as the disorder is very complex but not fatal.

I'd say lupus erythematosus.

Poor Miu (Lovely Idol)! I hope she feels better so she can get back to the work that she loves (I think?). Get better please! And how nice to have Toshiyuki Morikawa cheering you on!

I very much hope that Yuko Goto recovers from this illness.
I have a father who suffers from lupis, and so I have seen first hand how dreadful AI can be.
Goodluck Yuko.
