This manga just looks weird. I ordered it online, because they had all four volumes for $5.50. It looked interesting. A political manga is definately a new concept. Anyone else read it? I'd like to know how it is.

Its basically a subpar Eagle. Nothing really impressive, though for 5.50 I'd go for the four volumes.

That's good. It's not surprising it's not that great since Raijin went under. Right?

Actually Raijin had some good stuff (Slam Dunk, Revenge of the Mouflon, City Hunter), just not enough to balance out the crap or the marketing strategy to sell them.

I saw a lot of Raijin stuff at Border's outlet for 2 bucks. They had President of japan vol. 3 and 4. Didn't Raijin have Fist of the North Star? Wasn't that some kind of classic?

I'd say it's an interesting read if your interested in that type of thing. I agree with the subpar eagle description. However, quality work of this type is so seldom released in America it's kind of fun to read. Of course the portrayal of E. Asian foriegn policy is kind of "creative".

All the Best,

Nani?

I don't recommend people learning Japanese culture from political manga, especially those right-wing ones. It's like learning soccer from Captain Tsubasa.

Lol.. I liked what you said. And he's right, it's kind of saying if you wanted to learn U.S. government just pick up some political comics made over the decades.

And if it's spoiler[portrayal of China as falling apart and an inaccurate portayal of the U.S. Presidential succesion] are any indication, it's frightening how out of touch this stuff is. It's like using Rush Limbaugh as a guide to American politics.

All the best,
