Seriously? If anything, the narrator pretty much killed the series for me.

Yup, death by comedy. It's always a problem when Fairy Tales get overnarrated. Look at Into the Woods; They did the sensible thing and killed their narrator before he got to involved with the story's conclusion.
Oh, you didn't like the unlikable narrator? You thought her obtrusiveness was obtrusive? Hey, once you take "once upon a time" out of the story, you lose the fairy tale.
Anyways. Where's Negima? I awaited for it ... with abundant anticipation.

It's no wonder that Sailor Jupiter ranked that highly. She's so talented.
Please, kill me now.

I am very happy with Norio Wakamoto's work on Hayate being #1, and this is a very solid list.
The only thing I noticed out, and it may just be you might not have seen it Gia (in which case, SEE IT NOW) is Fumihiko Tachiki's work on Kaiji. That show just wouldn't be what it is without that testosterone-laden narration fueling the suspense.
EDIT: Didn't see the poll. Yay Sailor Mars #3!

This list is cool and all but it needs more Baka and Test. The narrator's disinterested voice and impatience really sells it for me.

For me, it was the complete opposite. The narrator was one of the only things keeping me watching through a good chunk of the show.

For the Norio Wakamoto poll: I'm guessing that "City Girl-and" is supposed to be "Kiddy Girl-and"?
I love his work on Hayate.

Count me as one who likes Ōkami-san's narration. I'm really happy with the dub (which I just finished up a few days ago) on the matter too. Luci Christian has some very hilarious lines and enhances the silly episodes quite a bit.

"Sailor Mercury - 21.13%" Yeah... can't say I didn't see the winner coming.

Regarding Sgt. Frog, I much prefer the politely sarcastic narrator of the Japanese version, who both snarks and cheerfully goes along with the insanity of the show.

This is my 3rd week in a row that I didn't participate in the poll.

Does "Kyon" count as an "actual name"?
