When I started watching Hunter x Hunter my biggest question was from what gender was Kurapica. Even the voice actor from such character was a woman

Yoshihiro Togashi is the overall "winner" of this poll.
I think that some Japanese people cannot draw males as males. It has happened. Alluka from Hunter x Hunter (Yoshihiro Togashi), which was just in the manga, is a boy, but looks like a girl. Also in the manga some of Alluka's brother say he is a he, but Killua says that she is she. Even the manga cannot tell what gender the character is. http://hunterxhunter.wikia.com/wiki/Alluka_Zoldyck In the new Pokemon games you can play as a girl or another girl that is actually a boy. I think I might play as a girl for the first time in any game, both are really girls. Last edited by rapjul on Tue Apr 24, 2012 11:00 pm; edited 2 times in total |

Why Akane Tendo? She's just tomboyish not androgynous. What about the childhood friend that Ranma thought was a boy until they met again after he got his curse (Ukyo)?

No Crona from Soul Eater or Alto from Marcoss F or that really pretty guy from GetBackers?
Heck, I can list 10 or more androgynous looking characters on the top of my head. Haruhi from Ouran is probably my favorite androgynous anime character simply because she could careless about her looks. |

And isn't Akane a few cup sizes too large to qualify as androgynous? |

I know, right. lol Poor Akane. I can just visualize Ranma holding up a printout of the MyNavi results in front of Akane's face. |

Bon clay..ahahahaha, awesome.
This is not about body, just the face. Short-haired Akane could easily pass as a boy character. |

There is no question about Alto's sex or sexuality, so the idea he's androgynist is meaningless. |

Androgyny is all looks. There's no need for actual ambiguity.

First time I watched Magic User's Club, while the OP was playing I immediately thought, "That purple-haired girl is pretty hot." Turns out that purple-haired girl is Ayanojyo Aburatsubo, a purple-haired boy. Oi. My world fell apart when a man's voice came out of that mouth.

"Most Androgynously Attractive Characters"
Not "Most Attractively Androgynous Characters" Crona and Dio are scary, not attractive. And as the question is asked, tomboys are androgynously attractive even if they're not androgynous at all. In short, it's a stupid question which is why the results are so similar for both sexes. Now, if it was asked male to male/female to female or male to female/female to male "Most Androgynously Attractive Characters" then we'd be getting results that were actually interesting. But, yeah, Hideyoshi should have been somewhere there. And Yukimura from I Don't Have Many Friends. |
